Oils Well Won't End Well

Timothy Birdnow

Ae we going to have to do a Cuba blockade like we did during the missile crisis?

Putin does not have the ability to project power in this fashion and certainly he doesn't need to be doing this while he's still at war with a country he still hasn't broken. We are here - he is there. Good luck with breaking our blockade.

One of the tankers is flying a Chinese flag, ostensibly to pressure the U.S. into not interfering with it. Trump doesn't cave to those kinds of tricks even if previous Presidents would have done so.

I'll Have a Manhattan on the Rocks

Timothy Birdnow

Chuck Schumer, Leader of the Senate Democrats, is on the rocks as a full blown revolt seems to be brewing in his caucus.

You might say Chuck's a Manhattan on the rocks.

His underlings are growing increasingly desperate as Schumer's schemes keep backfiring and I have little doubt internal polling shows this TSA shutdown is being blamed on the Democrats (which is why we are not seeing any polling about the shutdown in the news). They have about had enough of his Old Fashioned approach.

From the P.J. Media article:

According to this latest report, Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) sat down to dinner with progressive activists at a French restaurant in Georgetown last month, during which Murphy told the group that some lawmakers had already done informal vote counts to gauge whether enough support existed to remove Schumer from leadership.

Murphy added that Schumer had the votes to survive — for now.

[...]

Despite Murphy’s attempts to downplay the situation, more than four dozen interviews with Democratic senators, candidates, current and former aides, activists, and advisers point to the same conclusion: concern about Schumer's leadership is widespread and growing.

Bear in mind Schumer couldn't be playing any harder ball than he already is; he's shut down the branch of government tasked with stopping terrorism at a time when we are at war with the world's top sponsor of terrorism. What more can Schumer do? So it isn't that.

I have little doubt Schumer is the one pushing the shutdown because he fears a backlash by the lunatic fringe in his party. And the rest of the Democrats in the Senate probably realize this is killing them.

I find this little nugget interesting:

Donor frustration with Schumer has already been hurting a super PAC aligned with the Democratic leader, donors and consultants said. Senate Majority PAC was outraised by the Republican leadership-aligned super PAC last year; the Democratic super PAC started 2026 with $36 million in the bank and $12.4 million in debt, while its GOP counterpart had $100 million and no debt, according to Federal Election Commission filings.

Well, well, well....

Have donations dropped off OR has the Trump Administration disrupted the flow of dark money that the Democras were receiving through nefarious means, like Somali daycares or foreign aid handed out by USAID? I've long believed the Democrats have always been flush with cash because they were gaming the system, stealing taxpayer dollars and laundering it back to themselves. Trump and Musk have disrupted that flow and now the Democrats are struggling to raise money. Surprise?

It's certainly not Schumer's fault; he tried to save the embezzlement but couldn't do it.

The article blames the radicals in the Democratic Party for Schumer's problems and they are unquestionably a big part of that - they want Schumer to invade the White House with troops to seize Trump and hang him from the roof of the building. Schumer knows he can't oppose Trump any more than he has but the radicals are insane and want blood. But they are not his ultimate problem; it's the moderate (for Democrats) Senators who see disaster looming and want to fix it. Yes, they want the money the crazies donate, but those donations aren't the bulk of their funding anyway. The bulk comes from people like George Soros, or Big Tech, or the dwindling labor movement. And Trump has co-opted many working class folks, the traditional base of the Democrats.

No, I think the problem is that the Democrats are swimming against the tide, promoting illegal aliens over native born Americans, pushing increased taxes and regulations in an era where the public wants things to be cheaper, and now this government shutdown which is intentionally designed to cause pain to the American People in a hail-mary pass designed to change the narrative and force the President to bow to their will about illegal aliens (their base now). The public just isn't buying it. Americans overwhelmingly support the changes to immigration Trump has made. OH, and crime dropped to the lowest level we have seen in a hundred years; that doesn't hurt the GOP either.

Schumer is between a rock and hard place.

He Doesn't Sound Texan to Me

Timothy Birdnow

Famous quotes from Texans:

"Texas has yet to learn submission to any oppression, come from what source it may.” ~Sam Houston

"You may all go to Hell, and I will go to Texas” – Davy Crockett

"A born Texan has instilled in his system a mindset of no retreat and no surrender. I wish everyone the world over had the dominating spirit that motivates Texans.” – Billy Clayton

"The enemy never sees the backs of my Texans!” – General Robert E. Lee, CSA

And now we have James Talarico, Democratic candidate for the U.S. Senate:

#AhmaudArbery is the latest American killed by the virus of racism.

The virus kills our black neighbors if they’re jogging, playing music, sitting in church, selling CDs, or carrying a bag of Skittles… pic.twitter.com/6fuLFgyPGn

Never Trust an Islamist: Diego Garcia and Iran

Timothy Birdnow

Iran has fired two ballistic missiles at Diego Garcia, the British-controlled island in the Indian Ocean where a major American base is located.

Neither missile hit anything; one failed in flight and the other was shot down.

What is interesting about this is that Iran had said it did not have any missiles capable of traveling this far. Diego Garcia is 2,480 some-odd miles from Iran, and the Iranians had claimed they had no missiles capable of going beyond 1,242 miles. So they have been lying to hide their military capabilities. This strongly suggests they have also been lying about their nuclear program.

This vindicates President Trump's actions.

BTW it also vindicates Trump pushing Britain into not paying Mauritus to take the island away from them. British P.M. Stammer, er, Stamer wanted to hand Diego Garcia and the Chagos Archipelego over to Mauritus simply because they told him they wanted it, and given there is a major base at Diego Garcia Trump pressured him into holding onto it. Now it's been one of the places used as a staging ground for strikes on Iran.

Th9ngs all work together and when you start pulling back, retreating, you wind up in a worse and worse position. When you move forward you improve your position. Sun Tzu famously stated that "Opportunities multiply as they are seized" and the corollary to that is they dry up when you do nothing or worse, retreat.

At any rate the lesson we should draw from this is that we need to hold on to what is ours and maybe get a little more, and that we should never, ever trust an Islamist.

Babbling Idiots

Timothy Birdnow

You want to see obvious, blatant media bias just read the title of this article.

It is "Supreme Court petition to stop Donald Trump approaches major milestone".

They are discussing a petition by the leftist ACLU to prevent the Trump Administration from not enforcing an executive order that has already been suspended pending the Supreme Court's ruling.

This peptition has garnered 193,000 signatures - hardly record breaking - and it claims falsely that birthright citizenship goes back to the founding of the country (it doesn't; it is an interpretation of the 14th Amendment passed after the Civil War guaranteeing citizenship to former slaves. Prior to that there was no such thing as birthright citizenship - but it wasn't a big issue either, largely because the country was mostly empty space and how could you enforce legal status on the frontier?

At any rate this isn't even a story, just a piece of political propaganda pretending to be a story, yet here it i in a CNBC "article".

If the media wants to advocate for one side or another they should be honest enough to admit it. This isn't an editorial.

And the presupposition is that Trump is illegally doing this in a vacuum, even though he's waiting for the Supreme Court to decide the issue and a solid majority of Americans want this.

If CNBC wants birthright citizenship why don't they ask Congress to do it? That's because they fear they will lose and right they are; Conngress dare not pass such legislation. Instead they want to pressure the Court into keeping the status quo.

Now why would a news service want to allow people to simply stroll into the country and become citizens? Why risk losing more customers?

Because they think of themselves as the "fourth Estate" and believe they have a special right to power. And as liberals they want not an America ascendant but a world as one. They are doing exactly what the ancient king Nimrod did when he constructed his tower to Heaven at Babel.

Which is why these clowns sound like babbeling idiots.

Dope Leo - Stuck on Stupid

Timothy Birdnow

More proof that the Americansky Pope is a socialist.

This Pope said "health" is a human right, not healthcare. That means that society is absolutely bound to make people healthy whether they like it or not. That means they can tell you what to eat, what to drink, how to live, how to sleep and you have to obey because "health is a right".

He used the phrase "health equity" which is Marxist to the very core.

Odd; I've read the Bible cover-to-cover and never once saw anything saying health is a basic right. And in fact poor health was one of the curses God specifically smote Adam and Eve with, meaning it is from HIM and not from anything we do. We are supposed to try to help the sick, comfort them, but we are not obligated to provide good health to others; that is the province of God Almighty.

And of course we cannot guarantee good health.

The man is clueless as to what constitutes a right. Rights place no burden on third parties; they are something you inherently possess and would have as long as nobody actively takes it away from you. All of the so-called rights that leftists like Dope Leo advocate require society to take positive, aggressive action for you to be able to access. People who do not know you are forced to aid you at their expense. Those are not rights - they are privileges.

We live in a world governed by the absolute necessity of seeking wealth. It is the core of our existence and it comes from the curse placed on Adam when God told him he had to work if he wanted to eat. While it is possible to be charitable it is quite difficult because wealth is a hard thing to amass and a harder thing to keep and everybody has to find a way to acquire it. In Heaven there would be no need of that but on this Earth it is the most basic necessity. That is why healthcare has always been a for-profit enterprise; people need to get paid to do it. Yes, there are not-for-profit medical services and usually they are pretty poor precisely because there is no money in it and those doing it wind up moving to a for-profit medical service. You ultimately get what you pay for.

Leo wants to simply deny all that and demand free health care for everyone with just a waive of the magic wand. But it doesn't work that way and if he truly cared for the poor he would support paid medical services, since they often also serve those who can't pay. Drive them out and who will take care of the poor then? The one or two hospitals that cater to such? Good luck with that; they'll be broke in no time.

Paul John Paul II and his successor Benedict were both Conservatives but they did what Conservatives do and did not purge the Left from the Vatican. Once Francis got in he immediately moved to cement the Left's power over the Catholic Church in permanently and Leo was the end result.

I see no way of fixing this because Leo now appoints the cardinals, just as Francis had done, and they are now all leftists. The Church is permanently stuck on stupid and will remain so.

Ratcliffe Tells Congress Iran had Enriched Uranium

Timothy Birdnow

CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirms Iran has been enriching nuclear material well beyond the level required for nuclear reactors. In other words they were making weapons grade material.

It's hard to hide enriched nuclear material; it tend to be visible on detectors, even when underground (to a degree).

I have no doubt they were trying to build nuclear weapons, and if they had those weapons they probably would have used at least a few of them.

They still might, you never know.

Diversity is Our Weakness

Timothy Birdnow

A very good question indeed.

Diversity didn't do the Balkans any good, did it? It didn't help the Caucasus, or India. In fact nations with diverse populations are usually poorer, less safe, less free, and weaker than the homogenous societies.

Back in the eighties and nineties, when this diversity stuff started, Japan was rising fast and hard and it was admitted that Japan was doing so well because it was NOT a diverse country. Ditto Germany, which was also riding high at that time.

And the dirty little secret is that China is not in the least diverse and it is the top dog now next to the U.S. and may well displace us. Why? Probably because we are diverse and they are not. (Japan's fall was entirely because they adopted Western Keynsian economic theory and it cost them dearly.)

What are the wealthiest countries on Earth? According to Forbes they are:

1.The United States.

2. China

3. Japan

4. The United Kingdom

5. Germany

6. India

7. France

8. Canada

9. South Korea

10. Italy

Off these only the U.S., India, and perhaps Canada can be said to be truly multicultural, the rest are in varying shades of non-diversity. Certainly the top five are not at all diverse except the U.S. and Britain, and Britain wasn't until the last decade or two. It was fairly homogenous before that, although it had several different countries amalgamated into the United Kingdom.

So you certainly can't make the argument of economic success from diversity. At best you could argue it doesn't HURT economic success, but that is the best case scenario.

Another point abut diversity; it's a one way street. Diversity to the Liberal is getting more minorities to participate, to bring in more Third World peoples, and to marginalize the white majority, particularly the white Conservative male majority. If you have a university faculty that includes several lesbians, several blacks, Asians, Hispanics, and maybe Native Americans but not one single white male you have a "diverse" faculty to them. "Diversity" is but a weapon with which to beat the majority in America.

So in the sacred name of diversity we have open, flagrant discrimination against the people who actually built this country and who form her backbone.

Take a look at the U.S. Post Office; as of 2022 it's workforce was officially 29% black. Now the black population in America is only 14.4% of the population of the United States as of 2024, according to the Pew Research Center.

19% are Hispanic and Asians 6%. Hispanics are at least appropriately represented; they are 20% of the population. Asians are also represented properly as they make up 6.9% of the American population. So if anything Hispanic and Asians are slightly underrepresented.

The point is this isn't "diversity". I would add that postal jobs are given out based on a civil service exam and yet blacks - who routinely score well below Whites and Asians, certainly, on most tests, are way over-represented. So we don't have true diversity at all, but rather special privileges for a favored group.

The author of the article makes the following observation about the need for genetic diversity:

"Yet the amount of genetic diversity needed to produce healthy kids is pretty tiny. Just anyone outside the immediate family will do. Same culture? "

He's right and we have multiple isolated case studies to prove it. For instance, the most remote inhabited place on Earth is an island named Tristan Da Cunha in the South Atlantic ocean. It is three thousand miles from Captetown, it's nearest neighbor. It was settled by a British Lieutenant in the Navy, one John Glass, who decided to stay behind when the Royal Navy pulled out (they occupied the island to prevent the French from using it as a staging ground to rescue Napoleon). Glass stayed behind because he had fallen in love with and married a Capetown Colored woman - a mixed race girl. He couldn't bring her back home with him in those days, so he stayed on the island (and she bore him no fewer than 20 children). Shipwrecked sailors wound up stranded on the island too and decided it was a good place to live and eventually there were six men living on the island. A passing ship captain took pity on them and promised to find them wives - he returned later with five more women, all colored prostitutes, who found it preferable to settle down at the end of the world than continue to scratch out a living selling jelly role to sailors. All of the inhabitants to this day on Tristan are descended from these six couples, or almost all anyway. Yet they are generally healthy and well adjusted and intelligent. Inbreeding didn't hurt them much.

The same is true of the islanders on Pitcairn, the descendants of the mutineers of the Bounty.

It does not require a lot of ethnic diversity to make people healthy. Nor to make a culture healthy.

Yes the European nobility had their problems but some of those can be laid to a rather unhealthy lifestyle.

And Muslims today in the Arab world very often marry first cousins because they actually get to look at those gals and don't have to worry about nasty surprised (anyone remember the Three Stooges where they get Muslim gals and Shemp gets the toothless hag?)

At any rate the push for diversity started back in the eighties and I remember it well. I had these professors who pushed it very hard and it never did make a lick of sense to me. Why, for instance, during the Civil War, were local boys kept together? why were there Irish brigades instead of breaking them up?

The fact is it was the white male Christian heterosexual who built America and made her such a success. That is why they want to force us into the shadows.

Diversity is a scam and always has been a scam to push white male and Christian normies into the shadows and empower everyone outside of the mainstream.

CDC Dropping Rabies Vaccines by Air on Rural Lands

Timothy Birdnow

This may be prudent but the problem is they could put ANYTHING into the environment and who could stop them? What if the CDC started putting contraceptives in particulates and dropped them in rural areas? Urban areas?

The fact is they should have told Americans what they were doing.

In Africa the Gates Foundation has been accused of putting contraceptives in vaccines he gives for free to reduce the number of people, so why wouldn't a guy like Gates do that to the American public? Why not drop it into the environment without our knowledge or consent?
Whether Gates did it or not is immaterial; it COULD be done. (It was a number of Catholic nuns who made the claim, not some Q-Anon people in the U.S.)

Second Verse Same as the First: the Corruption of Science is not New

Timothy Birdnow

I posted this (or tried to anyway; I'm not sure it posted) on a Facebook group full of climate alarmists/Gang Green. I'm hoping to get through their solid little noggins that it is entirely possible to subvert a whole field of science. Read my post below:

One of the things I keep hearing here in this group from the alarmists, the Gang Green as I like to call them, is how we who doubt the scientific validity of climate change are somehow paranoids, seeing dark conspiracies where none exist because it's simply not possible to subvert science in that way, that science is too large and too diverse to actually tamper with the physical data and whatnot. Many of you here believe this with all your hearts. But the reality is we've seen this exact thing happen before in science, and it plunged the whole world into darkness and cost millions of lives and it happened just a hundred years ago.

I'm talking about Eugenics.

Eugenics was a pseudo-science born out of an interpretation of Darwin's theory of Natural Selection and championed by Darwin's cousin Sir Francis Galton. It was based in particular on Darwin's work in The Ascent of Man. Eugenics took the world by storm in a campaign that was amazingly familiar to the modern approach to climate science and it produced nothing but rotten fruit wherever it took hold. The United States was particularly fertile ground, and it led to laws being changed to make anyone with anything but a white Anglo Saxon into a "colored" and thus being largely stripped of civil rights. Jim Crow was an outgrowth of eugenics. So too were some monstrous experiments, like the infamous Cold Spring Harbor experiments, the forced sterilization of those deemed "unfit" by the eugenicists, and a host of other nasty stuff. Harvard was particularly keen on Eugenics, for instance, and was at the forefront (along with many other prestigious Ivy League universities) of the eugenics movement. There were other experiments, like the Tuskeegee syphilis experiments on unsuspecting black people.

All of this was not just approved of by the intellectual establishment f the day but was led by them. Most major universities had departments of eugenics. It was said to be "settled science". Anyone who disagreed with it was shouted down and called anti-science (sound familiar?)

The Germans, upset that the U.S. was so far "ahead" of them, doubled down on eugenics and when Adolf Hitler and the National Socialists came to power they argued not from a position of ignorance or bigotry so much as from the position of science, eugenics in particular. They believed it and believed we were in a civilizational crisis. The eugenicists used arguments nearly identical then as today with climate; that the dangers of doing nothing was too high, that we had to act to save the human race from "mongrelization".

Meanwhile in Russia the Soviets were trying to evolve Man to be happy in the chains of servitude and to do that they had their own eugenics program guided by the quack Trofim Lysenko, who thought he could evolve human beings by essentially creating artificial pressures. Those pressures included telling bald-faced lies and demanding everyone believe them or be punished in the gulag.

At any rate eugenics was international in scope and there were endless streams of papers written in it's defense, and all the major universities were on board with it. International conferences were held (btw Winston Churchill was a member of the Eugenics Society in Britain.) It had a very activist program, and anyone who doubted it was targeted to be destroyed professionally.

All of the tactics we've seen from the environmentalists we saw from the eugenicists. Pretense at being scientific. Calling those who disagree anti-science. professional destruction of those who disagree. Saying it was "settled science". Manipulation of data. Control of key departments in academia to promote the theory. etc.

And this diseased pseudo-science plunged the world into World War II as much as did anything else. It gave us the Nazi Holocaust.

So don't tell me it's impossible for there to be a world-wide conspiracy. We KNOW the Soviets helped to create and nurture the Environmentalist movement from declassified documents. We know Putin is pushing it even now. We have the minutes of the Endangered Atmosphere's Conference where they agreed to promote Global Cooling but keep Global Warming as a backup, then when it was obvious it wasn't getting cooler they simply switched gears. Obama's science advisor John Holdren was one o fthe organizers of that meeting, btw. It was intended to find the common thread of humanity - we all share the atmosphere. It then needed to produce an immanent peril that would allow them to promote the end of capitalism and the promotion of international socialism.

We know that this dovetails with the goals of a lot of organizations. Many corporations are on board precisely because it will eliminate competition and promote, nay, force international trade. It's the same reasons many corporations were on board with Fascism and Naziism in it's day, or why they funded eugenics in the first place.

Governments love money and power and all the governments of the world saw a golden opportunity to enrich and empower themselves through this. The Third World wanted their hands in our cookie jars while the First World saw a way to use the "crisis" to increase the size and scope of government, and to find a cause to unite people. Oh, and to gin up guilt among the populace, making them easier to manipulate.

As I say, this is nothing new; we saw all these tactics and these ideas during the early 20th century in the eugenics movement and the rise of Fascism (including under Woodrow Wilson here in the U.S.)

So all you alarmists who think it is impossible for such a movement to happen you might want to think again. It's already happened. And with modern communications and a far more centralized system of government than we used to have (and more centralized educational system) it should surprise nobody that it is being done and better than the eugenicists ever dreamed possible.

If the media alone reported both sides of the science of this the theory would have long ago been rejected as a failure; it's predictions have all bombed. But the media reports endlessly that "science" says it's happening, and to prove it they use computer models and predictions which are not backed up by the real world. The media is overwhelmingly left wing and just a casual glance at their voting habits is proof of that. They are almost all registered Democrats and most admit they go into the profession "to make a difference" and not report the news. Look at the coverage; they never put skeptical scientists on for balance, for instance. And good luck Googling anything involving climate skepticism; you won't find it, except maybe on page ten of a search if you are lucky. The better stuff just disappears completely, gone down the memory hole.

Why do you guys have to do that if the science is on your side?

I would add that Climatology was nothing but a subset of meteorology originally and most meteorologists did not believe in the doomsday view of carbon dioxide-induced climate change. Those numbers are better for your side now because a whole generation has been taught it is settled science, but most meteorologists were extremely skeptical. Climatologists less so because it saw huge amounts of money rolling into their once-sleepy field.

The fact is Climate Change is nothing more than the modern Eugenics and I fear in the end it will bear fruit as rotten as the old racist theory had.

It certainly has led to lazy and careless scientific research.

Their argument is in a quarter of a century it will be so hot that nobody will go outside or do anything. But isn't that what happens in winter, at least up north? People are less likely to exercise in bitter cold than in the heat.

We can add this one to the Numbers Watch list of terrible things attributed to climate change..

Mullin Off to a Terrible Start

Timothy Birdnow

Donald Trump's nominee for Secretary of Homeland Security appears to be nothing but a cowardly surrender monkey.

Yes, he has promised to cave on the practice of using administrative warrants to arrest criminal illegal aliens and is promising to spend years waiting for the courts to issue ICE the warrants they need to pick up these criminals.

Mullin said:

"I have made it very clear to the staff,” Mullin said, "that a judicial warrant will be used to go into houses or to place of businesses unless we are pursuing someone who enters into that place. I have not minced words with that and I haven’t changed my opinion on that.”

fin

The use of administrative warrants has always been acceptable until Obama upped the ante and made a judicial warrant a requirement. The judiciary is already backlogged and getting such a warrant is going to be nigh unto impossible, at least in a timely fashion. The Democrats know this which is why they are demanding it. And Mullin plans to neuter the whole deportation program.

Now I hope he doesn't get approved.

Needless to say this won't satisfy the Democrats who say they will continue to block funding. You can't negotiate with them; they have to be deeated.

Mullin apparently didn't understand that. Or he did and knew they would reject the deal still, so figured he could at least score some political points.

But I don't like it. If they succeed at this they will only try it again, and demand more. Thune should just end the filibuster and do so now. But he won't and the Democrats will continue to hold the American People hostage.

If Mullin doesn't understand this then he's not the man for the job.

BTW I still can't find any polls that ask who is to blame for this. That tells me that the public probably blames Democrats; the polling companies won't do those kinds of polls when it's bad news for the Dems because they don't want to pressure them to surrender. If the GOP was being blamed we would have polls out that would be front-page news.
